The Young Peoples Business Challenge will be making their first stop in Kashechewan First Nation on February 9 & 10th (see poster below for details). If you are interested in attending the YPBC please contact our office to register!
Teams of 2-4 must come up with a business that could help your community grow. Teams must develop a business proposal and pitch the idea to a panel of judges. The winning business proposal will be chosen to represent their community at the YPBC finale held in Moose Factory in the Summer of 2017.
The Young People's Business Challenge is a fun, interactive way to introduce the youth to entrepreneurship and business development. Wakenagun CFDC, in partnership with the Mushkegowuk Council Youth Department and Moose Cree Youth Services with Ontario 150 have come together to bring these workshops to the various communities in our catchment area. Keep a lookout in your community for our posters and upcoming visits!
Labour Market Indicators Workshops Far North East Training Board – Evidence-Based Labour Market Planning: An Interactive Workshop. You and your team need to develop an ‘evidence-based’ plan for your employment and training programs and services. What does that mean? What are some of the labour market indicators that you should look at? How and why should you look at them?
If those questions sound familiar to you then this workshop is for you.
Join us for a free full day workshop to learn about key labour market indicators. Through hands-on exercises learn how to read and interpret key labour market demand and supply indicators. More importantly learn how they could be used to inform planning of employment and training services within your organization, and within the community
